Elizabeth J. ‘Betty’ (Lucey) Bourassa
BROOKLINE – Elizabeth J. “Betty” (Lucey) Bourassa, 89, of Brookline, formerly of Worcester, Clinton and Berlin, Massachusetts died Monday, May 2, 2022 at the Inn at Fairview, Hudson, NH.
Her husband of 63 years, Robert W. Bourassa, Sr. died in April 2015.
Mrs. Bourassa was born in Worcester, October 13, 1932, a daughter of Cornelius J. and Mary Bella (Shea) Lucey and was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School in Worcester. She has resided in Brookline for forty six years.
Mrs. Bourassa worked with her husband in the operation of Robert Bourassa Builder Company in Berlin, MA and later the Bourassa Real Estate & Development Company in Brookline, NH.
She enjoyed traveling, golfing, gardening, baking, reading, playing bridge and sewing. She was a member of St. John’s Church in Townsend.
She leaves six sons, Robert W. Bourassa Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Boylston, MA, Neal J. Bourassa and his wife Gail, of Pocahontas, Iowa, James A. Bourassa and his wife Goldie, of Brookline, Paul V. Bourassa and his wife, Michelle, of Stoddard, NH, Joseph F. Bourassa and his wife Denise of South Chatham, MA Christopher J. Bourassa and his wife, Angela, of Manchester, NH; three daughters, Sharon A. Quinn of Bedford, NH, Judith M. Kowalik and her husband, Walter of Brookline, NH, Mary Ellen Bourassa and her husband, Michael Shumsky, of Hudson, NH; her sister, Maureen Pratt and her husband, Paul of Worcester; eighteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was the grandmother of the late Rebecca M. Kowalik of Brookline, NH and the sister of the late Robert F. Lucey, Paul Lucey, John Lucey, and Cornelius Lucey.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Friday May 6, 2022 at St. John’s Church, 1 School Street, Townsend. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Brookline.
