Anthony Bokousky

Mar 8, 2022

Anthony Bokousky, 72, of Nashua, passed away while surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 6, 2022. He suffered a short fought battle to pancreatic cancer. Born on March 9, 1949 in Nashua, he was the son of the late Anthony and Arlene (Smith) Bokousky.

Anthony was a lifelong resident of Nashua, and attended the Nashua Public School System before joining the service. He served his country in the United States Navy where he had the chance to travel to many different countries before he was honorably discharged. After the Navy, he worked for several years installing residential and industrial garage doors. Once his spine wasn’t strong enough to continue this physically demanding profession he received his general education diploma and attended some college courses before starting his new career. He worked for the State of New Hampshire Department of Transportation as a tollbooth attendant for 20 years, which allowed him to meet and befriend all types of people, including many NH State Troopers.

Tony was a simple and quiet man, who cared about others and was always willing to help a friend. He loved spending time with his family, and letting them how much they meant to him. He “couldn’t boil water” and always had to be reminded to get the cake for any birthdays or anniversaries, but that doesn’t mean he loved any less. As he enjoyed his retirement, his favorite things to do were watching horror movies, dropping a birthday greeting on social media, tinkering with his many electronic gadgets, and playing his video games.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Sherrill (Leclerc) Bokousky; son Christopher Bokousky of Orlando, FL; daughter Sandra Marcoux and her husband Eric of Goffstown; sisters Geraldine Rollins of Milford and Bette King of Nashua; brother David Bokousky of Nashua; 3 grandchildren and 5 step grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held privately.
