Colette M. Guimond
Colette M. Guimond, 87, died peacefully Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late William L. Guimond with whom she shared 47 years of marriage prior to his passing in November of 2007.
Colette was born in Nashua on August 2, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Honoré and Lillian (Levesque) Raymond. She graduated valedictorian of her class from St. Louis de Gonzague High School.
For many years, she was employed by Nashua High School as a secretary until her retirement.
In her free time, Colette was an amazing artist. She enjoyed painting, pastels, pencil, and watercolors. She was extremely talented and took great pride in her artwork. Her work has been displayed at many locations in New Hampshire. She also enjoyed traveling. She fondly remembered her cross-country trip that she took with her husband. She also loved her trips to Bermuda and various other destinations with friends. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with her friends and family. She will be deeply missed and remembered for her love of life and genuine personality.
She is survived by her three children, Lynne Sabean and her husband Darren of Concord, Neal Guimond and his wife Donna of Litchfield, and Glenn Guimond and his wife Lisa of Hudson, her four grandchildren, Amanda Desai and her husband Niket of Princeton, NJ, Cameron Guimond of Nashua, Kayla Guimond of Nashua and Dylan Guimond of Hudson. She is also survived by her two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Julia Desai.
Relatives and friends are invited to Colette’s visitation on FRIDAY, March 4th from 5 until 8 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on SATURDAY, March 5th at 10 AM in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 W Hollis Street, Nashua. Interment to follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Colette’s name to Community Hospice House, 7 Executive Park Drive, Merrimack, NH 03054.
