Nancy Ducker Rogers

Feb 22, 2022

Nancy Ducker Rogers, 76, died peacefully on Tuesday evening, February 15, 2022 at home with her family by her side. She remained strong and positive in these last five years while battling cancer.

Nancy was born in Winchester, MA on June 16, 1945 and grew up in Reading, MA. Nancy was the daughter of the late George and Alice Ducker. She graduated from Reading Memorial High School in 1963 and married Ernie Rogers in 1966. They had two children, Chuck and Melissa, who were the “light of her life”.

Nancy lived in Billerica, MA for a number of years before moving to Nashua, NH. She mostly worked in the printing business and owned her own typesetting business for many years. After her retirement, she devoted all of her time to her family and friends. Her children and grandchildren never doubted the amount of love that she had for them. She cherished her time with them and would brag about them any chance that she had.

Nancy enjoyed playing bingo at Spartans. She made many wonderful friends; many of whom remained a strong support system for her in recent years. She also enjoyed planning her

“mini-reunions” for the RMHS class of 1963. Because of these “min-reunions”, she was able to bring old friends back together and forge new relationships with others. Some of these people became a part of her family.

Nancy loved the Red Sox. She never missed a game and rooted for “her boys” no matter what the score. She was also very patriotic and loved her Red, White and Blue! Anyone who thinks of Nancy will always remember a kind, thoughtful, generous firecracker of a person. She was truly an Angel on earth.

Nancy is survived by her two children, Chuck Rogers and his significant other, Robyn of Nashua, NH and her daughter Melissa Fini and husband, Tom Fini of Bow, NH. Her four grandchildren, Andre, Tyler, Ryan and John. Her two step grandchildren Jada and Briggs. She is also survived by her siblings, Bob Ducker and his wife Doreen of Seabrook, NH and her sister Judy Riessle of Nashua, NH. As well as several nieces, nephews and close friends.

Nancy is predeceased by her nephew Tommy Eden and her very dear friend, Guy Johnson.

Nancy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Amedisys Hospice and to the doctors and nurses at Dana Farber who gave her extraordinary care and treated her with the utmost respect.

Relatives and friends are invited to Nancy’s visitation on THURSDAY, February 24th from 4 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Interment will take place at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy’s name to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
