David P. ‘Dave’ Brousseau

David P. “Dave” Brousseau, 66, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 20th, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Dave was the beloved husband of Mary Jane (Fontaine) Brousseau with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.

Dave was born in Nashua on April 30th, 1955 and was the son of the late Paul and Marie (Ouellette) Brousseau. He is a graduate of Nashua High School, Class of 1973.

He was a very hard-working man with numerous jobs over his life. In his younger years, he worked as a line cook for Howard Johnsons. For 24 years, Dave worked for Sealed Air as an inspector and a machinist. On the weekends, he loved umpiring softball for USSSA. In 2020, USSSA gave Dave one of their highest honors by inducting him into their Hall of Fame as an umpire. In retirement he really enjoyed working at Green Meadow Golf Club. Throughout his working life, no matter his title, Dave was a true leader, always looking out for his co-workers, never afraid to speak up. Everywhere he worked, his co-workers always looked up to him.

Dave had many passions in life. He cherished time with family and loved hosting family gatherings. He and his wife, Mary, loved to travel, taking many trips to their favorite places, the NH Seacoast, Disney World, Texas, Alaska, New York, and Las Vegas. He really enjoyed playing cards both at home with family and at the casino. He also was an avid bowler and a golfer.

Dave loved the game of hockey. He was a huge Boston Bruins fan and was a regular at Manchester Monarchs games. One of his greatest joys was sharing his love of hockey with his grandchildren, Josh and Matt, and watching them play the game he loved.

Known as “Davey” by the those that loved him most, in addition to Mary, he is survived by his daughter Christine Stein and her husband Jamie of Merrimack, his two grandsons, Joshua and Matthew Stein; his sister, Dolores “Dolly” Kennedy of Litchfield, and his three brothers, Marc Brousseau and his wife Tina of Nashua, Ronald Brousseau and his wife Diane of Nashua and Kenneth Brousseau and his wife Peg of Hampton Beach, sister-in-law, Margaret (Fontaine) Lepine and her husband Andre of Fairview, TX. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dave was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Robert Kennedy.

The family would like to send a special thanks to the oncology departments at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Derry Lahey Center at Parkland Medical Center, Parkland Hospital, and the Amedisys Hospice.

Relatives and friends are invited to Dave’s visitation on THURSDAY, January 27th from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. His Funeral Mass will be held on FRIDAY, January 28th at 10:00pm in St. Louis de Gonzague Church, 48 W Hollis Street, Nashua. His interment will follow in St. Louis Cemetery, Nashua.
