Mary Carmen Lane

Jan 15, 2022

Mary Carmen Lane, 98, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, January 10, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Perry Thomas Lane who predeceased her on October 21, 2001.

Carmen was born in Rutland, Vermont on May 31, 1923, and was the daughter of the late Joseph Hayden and Marion (Barrett) Kennedy.

Carmen will forever be remembered for her quirky sense of humor and timely 3 PM glass of white zinfandel with at least one Hershey Kiss, which satisfied her sweet tooth. All her life, she took great pride in her home always making sure it was clean and tidy. She adored time spent with her late husband, Perry. Prior to his passing they resided in Rotonda West, Florida for 30 years. They truly loved to live in sunny Florida where they made lifelong friends. Carmen also enjoyed leisurely rides that sometimes led to vacations at the spur of the moment. Above all, her most cherished time was spent with family especially time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She is survived by her two children, Judy Leclerc and her husband Michael of Oakland, Maine and Thomas Lane and his wife Debora of Hudson: her five grandchildren, Jamie Hummel and her husband Edward of Troy, NH, Keith Spano of Troy, NH, Ryan Spano of Oakland, Maine, Amy Diperri and her husband Nathan of Lunenburg, MA, and Jeremy Lane and his wife Shawna of Nashua. She is also survived by her seven great grandchildren, Kayla and husband Will Sinnott, Daniel, Jesse, Julie, Jason, Joseph, and Olivia; her two great-great grandchildren Charlie and Ben; as well as many loved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Carmen was predeceased by her brother Joseph Kennedy and her sister Yvonne Carr.

At the request of Carmen’s family, all services will be held in the spring. Arrangements entrusted to the care of ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carmen’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
