Louis J. Freeman

Salisbury, NH – Louis J Freeman (Papa Bear) Salisbury NH, passed away at the age of 84 on December 27th.

He was a retired US NAVY Veteran of 20 years and an active member of the Salisbury Fire Dept. for over 24 years and was awarded the Salisbury Citizen of the Year in 2007.

He is survived by his loving wife Carol (Boss) Freeman of 62 wonderful years. His children include a Son Dale Freeman wife Patty (predeceased) of Springfield NH, Daughter Diana Freeman of Concord NH, son Harlan Freeman and husband Jamie Jobin of Pembroke NH. Grandchildren include Lenora Freeman, husband Alex Chambray of Florida, Corina Cole of Pittsfield NH, Colleen Reid and husband Timothy both of Concord NH. His Great grandchildren include Aaron, Lilli, Olivia, Parker and newly born Arya.

Family members include 5 brothers Sherwood, Joseph, Calvin, Ernest and Earl, 2 Sisters Marie and Lydia Carrier.

In lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made to the Salisbury Fire Dept. Association P.O. Box 100 Salisbury NH 03268 where Lou was passionate about giving back to his local community.

The celebration of life will be held at a later date along with the burial to be conducted at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen NH.
