Bessie Jean Linscott
Bessie Jean Linscott, 98, of Merrimack died on December 22, 2021. She was born on November 17, 1923 in Edgerton, WI to the late Charles L. Atkins and Irma (Rankin) Atkins. She was the loving wife of the late Harlan Morse Linscott and they were married on September 27, 1945.
Bessie was brought up in Topeka, KS and graduated from Topeka High School. She then went on to attend Kansas State Teachers College. Shortly after, Bessie joined the United States Marine Corps. and participated in WWII where she inspected airplane engines. Bessie met her future husband, Harlan who was a member of the United States Navy, while in the service.
In her spare time, Bessie enjoyed genealogy, archaeology, sewing. She loved to enjoy nature and she and Harlan were wildflower photographers for some time.
Bessie leaves behind her two children: Cheryl Linscott and her significant other Archie Frangoudis of Merrimack, NH and Ralph and his wife Margaret Linscott of Nashville, IN. She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Aside from her parent and husband Harlan, she was predeceased by her sister, Alison Yeaton.
SERVICES: A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 10 am at the Davis Funeral Home, 1 Lock st., Nashua, NH 03064. Family and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flower, donations can be made to the Christian Children’s Fund, https://www.childfund.org/Ways-To-Donate/ . Interment will be held private for the immediate family. The Davis Funeral Home has been placed in charge of arrangements. “ONE MEMORY LIGHTS ANOTHER.”
