Paul Arthur Racioppi

Paul Arthur Racioppi, age 70, a longtime resident and business owner in Nashua, New Hampshire, died in Boston, Massachusetts on December 20, 2021, after a brief illness. Born in Boston, MA on August 28, 1951, Paul was the son of the late Arthur and Rosalia (Messina) Racioppi.
Paul was the husband of Elizabeth Racioppi whom he swept off her feet in 1995 with his good looks, passion for Italian cooking, and dragon lore. Married a year later, Paul and Elizabeth recently celebrated 25 years of marriage in June 2021. Together they owned and managed the Elizabeth Grady Skin Care Salon in south Nashua.
A graduate of Merrimack College, in Andover, MA, Paul went on to achieve his MBA from Southern NH University in Manchester, NH. He brought his expertise in Finance and Compensation Management to Digital Equipment Corporation for nearly two decades as well as Samuel Adams – The Boston Beer Company. Most recently, he worked at Mitre Corporation in Bedford, MA where he planned to retire at the end of this year.
While always committed to his career, Paul was much more than the workplaces listed on his resume. A modern-day Renaissance Man, he held a finance career by day, and during his free time, was a true gentleman who had a passion for the swash-buckling, axe-throwing activities at King Richards Faire for nearly 30 years. If you were to cross a Cat-Lover with a Mini-Cooper-Driver (who sometimes could turn into a swearing madman) along with a Harry Potter Devotee, Skilled Bourbon Manhattan Cocktail Mixologist, Dragon Whisper, and Abraham Lincoln Quoting Pundit, you’d get Paul. He was truly one-of-a-kind. He also had a passion for playing golf, watching sports, writing poetry, and cooking, especially the recipes he grew up with from Boston’s North End. He even fulfilled a life-long dream of leading an orchestra when he conducted ‘Walking in a Winter Wonderland,’ at a Symphony NH’s Holiday Pops concert.
Paul’s greatest legacy is that he was truly a man of service. He would never hesitate to go out of his way to help the people he most cared about and spent his entire life making sure everyone he touched was a better person. For that, his family and friends are forever grateful for the imprint he’s left on their hearts.
In addition to being survived by his wife of 25 years, Elizabeth, he also leaves behind his step-son, Alexander Kratoska, of Manchester, NH. He is survived by a brother, Robert.
Paul also leaves his three cats rescued from the Humane Society for Greater Nashua: Po, Emma, and Eva.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home at One Lock Street in Nashua, NH, where family and friends are invited to share their memories and stories in a Celebration of Paul’s Life on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm. Guests to this Celebration are reminded to wear masks to comply with the recently reinstated mask ordinance in Nashua. For those who’d like to honor Paul’s memory with a memorial tribute, his family requests donations to be sent to his favorite Nashua nonprofit, the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry Rd, Nashua, NH, 03064 (https://www.hsfn.org).
