Richard A. ‘Dick’ Carpentier
WEBSTER,NH – Richard A. “Dick” Carpentier, 70, formerly of Nashua, NH and Tyngsboro, MA left his earthly body to watch over us in the heaven above the morning of December 20, 2021 after almost a year long battle with the after effects of Covid.
Dick was born in Lowell, MA on June 1st, 1951 to Doris Marcotte (Gagnon) and Albert Carpentier. He took upon the call to service in 1969 and joined the U.S. Navy, proudly serving aboard the U.S.S. Independence, and was even part of a dedicated protection team to President Richard Nixon. After his years of service, he came back to MA and NH and worked as a police officer for Tyngsboro, MA and then found his passion as a welder even obtaining the credentials to work on government projects for N.A.S.A. On his time off he enjoyed deep sea fishing with his son Jamie and of course watching his N.E. Patriots and any other team on football Sunday.
Most importantly he was a family man and regardless of what was occurring he was the gentle soul that kept this family together. Even in the months long battle, with his son by his side, Rich wanted to ensure that his family was taken care of. After 50 plus years of taking care of his loving wife and high school sweetheart Pauline Carpentier (Tousignant), in his final days he wanted to ensure that she would be taken care of by his son, James and his wife Michele and their daughter Arianna. In addition, he leaves behind his daughter Lisa and her children Tyler and Ashley.
He is predeceased by his grandparents Jerry and Marie Rose Pelletier, who cared for him throughout his childhood, his father Albert, and his brother Donald. In addition to Pauline, his children, and grandchildren, he is survived by his mother Doris, sisters Jackie, Michelle, and Joann, brother Bill and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
