Mrs. June Barbara (Merrill) Degnan

Mrs. June Barbara (Merrill) Degnan, age 96, passed away on December 7, 2021 at Fairview in Hudson after a period of declining health. She was the widow of James W. Degnan, Sr. who died in 1966, and longtime companion of the late Don Vantine.

June was born in Plymouth, NH, on August 15, 1925, daughter of the late Clinton and Flossie (Miclon) Merrill. She grew up in Plymouth and Nashua.

Mrs. Degnan worked in food service for many years at local establishments prior to her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed dancing, swimming and spending time at Hampton Beach. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Sandra Degnan of New London; grandson James Degnan and his wife Amy Fortier Degnan; granddaughter Bethanie Waryas and her husband Victor; great-granddaughters Evelyn, Sophia and Madeline; and great-grandsons Alexander and Samuel; son-in-law Norman Condon; she was mother of the late Barbara Condon.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at Fairview Nursing Home and Laurel Place Assisted Living of Hudson for the exceptional care given to June during her years in residence.
