Dec 1, 2021

Phyllis Jameson Grant, 85, died peacefully at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown, NH on November 23, 2021. Born in Providence R.I. on January 2, 1936, she was the only child of Gardiner B. Jameson and Alice (Northup) Jameson.

She was the wife of the late Merton (Mert) W. Grant. They were married on December 7, 1957 in E. Providence RI, and shared nearly 62 loving years together, before his death in 2019.

Growing up, Phyllis attended local E. Providence schools, and graduated as an RN from Roger Williams School of Nursing in Providence R.I. After their wedding and a brief time living in Maine, Phyllis and Mert moved to NH, and raised their family in Nashua. Phyllis worked as a nurse in many capacities. She worked in the office of Dr. Buttrick for many years, took care of the elderly at the Norwell Home, as well as the Adult Day Care programs in Nashua and at Alvirne High School in Hudson.

Phyllis, a member of the Gate City Church in Nashua, was a caring, compassionate person who believed in the power of prayer. In her always beautiful penmanship, she filled notebooks with the names and concerns of people she was praying for. Phyllis was also known for her gifts of baked goods. Over the years, she and her husband cultivated friendships w
