John A. Brouillette Sr.

Nov 19, 2021

John A. Brouillette Sr. of Nashua, NH died on November 11, 2021 at MGH in Boston, MA with his family by his side. He was 86 years old. He was married for 59 years to the late Barbara M. (Silva) Brouillette who died on November 8, 2016. Born in Lowell, MA, he was the son of Ella (Broderick) Brouillette and Frederick Brouillette. He was the last surviving sibling of Harriet Burns, Richard Brouillette, Fred Brouillette, William Brouillette, Ruth Dickinson and Dorothy Chambers.

John was raised in Billerica, MA. He served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Lloyd from 1953-1956. We believe he would be proud to know he died on Veteran’s Day. As a young man, he worked at Pollard’s Clothing Store, at Bradley Container, at RCA and finally, at Lockheed Sander’s in Nashua, NH as a Method Engineer for over 25 years. He earned an Associate’s Degree from New England Aeronautical Institute in Nashua. He also had a part-time business where he roto-tilled gardens. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, vegetable gardening with his wife and doing yard work. He was considered a helpful neighbor, volunteering to work on projects to help his friends. He enjoyed many family barbecues while sitting by the pool at his son’s home, the many trips he took with his daughters to Roland’s restaurant in Nashua and catching up with “Barbara Lynne” and her family when they visited from FL.

He is survived by his children, Donna and her husband Daniel; John Jr. and his wife, Donna and their children, Alec & Jillian (also having a fondness for their dog, Bentley); his daughter Barbara (Bree) and her husband Andrew and their children, Audrey, Hunter, Lundyn & Kennedy; and Lisa Brouillette and her children, Jonathan and Katie Mae. He also has six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express many thanks to Langdon Place of Nashua for the care they provided to him and for indulging in his many stories and unique sense of humor. Due to COVID and following cremation, a private graveside ceremony will take place at Edgewood Cemetery in Nashua at 11:30am on December 4, 2021. Please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in his name.
