Richard “Dick” Blais, 85, long time resident of Nashua, NH died Sunday Oct. 24, 2021 at his home after a brief illness.

He was born in Berlin, NH on Nov. 13, 1935 a son of the late Albert and Germaine (Gagne) Blais.

Dick was an avid sports fan and enjoyed travelling in his Motor home with his wife Helen. He was a skilled carpenter who was continually creating and completing woodworking projects one after another for his family, friends and church. Dick retired from Dana Patterson Inc. of Merrimack as a project supervisor where he spent 35 dedicated years. Dick was a devoted catholic and was very active in St. Christopher’s Parish in Nashua.

In addition to his parents, he is pre-deceased by three brothers, Fernand, Raymond and Donald Blais.

Dick is survived by his wife Helen (LeBlanc) Blais of Nashua, Sr. Jeannine Blais, Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, five children, Mariette Morris and her husband Frank, Roger Blais and his wife Paula, Pauline Burton and her husband Mike, Theresa Levine and her husband Mike and David Blais and his wife Therese; 11 Grandchildren, Frank Morris Jr, Peter Morris, Katherine McLaughlin, Mary Ellen Murphy, Lyle and Mitchell Blais, Allison Szikla, Stephen Burton, Matthew, Sarah, and Erica Levine; Jaime and Nathan Blais; 14 Great-Grandchildren, a sister, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held in the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack, NH Monday Nov. 1, 2021 from 5-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday Nov. 2nd at 11 AM in St. Christopher Church, 62 Manchester St., Nashua, NH. Burial will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in Nashua.
