Shirley T. (Miller) Brickey

Shirley T. (Miller) Brickey, 93, lifelong resident of Nashua, died peacefully on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry, NH. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard L. Brickey.

Shirley was born in Nashua on February 18, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Delina (Lavanway) and Henry Miller. She attended schools in the Nashua School System and graduated from Nashua High School with the class of 1946.

For many years, she was employed as a Solderer for BAE until her retirement.

In her free time she enjoyed winters in Florida, volunteering at BAE blood drives, tending to her garden and vacations at Hampton Beach. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren playing sports.

Shirley is survived by her son, Ronald Brickey and his wife Nancy of Nashua; her son-in-law, David Connor of Bangor, Maine; her four grandchildren, Matthew R. Brickey of Nashua, Jennifer L. Brickey of Winthrop, MA, Christopher Connor and his wife Rebecca of Bangor, ME and Kelly Jones and her husband Andrew of Arlington, MA. She is also survived by her six great grandchildren, Rhise and Evan Jones, Gabriel Connor and Wyatt Stevens and Matthew and Lauren Brickey; her brother Robert Miller and his wife Susan of Bedford; 23 nieces and nephews including Susan Miller and her husband Jay Gassman, Christine Meehan, and Michael Miller; as well as her best friend Shirley Van Vliet of Nashua.

In addition to her husband, Richard, she was predeceased by her daughter Pamela Ann Connor; her brother Richard Miller and her niece Karen Armstrong.

Relatives and friends are invited to Shirley’s visitation on WEDNESDAY, October 27th from 5 until 7 PM at ROCHETTE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 21 Kinsley Street, Nashua. Her Funeral Mass will be held on THURSDAY, October 28th at 9 AM in St. Patrick Church, 29 Spring Street, Nashua. Interment to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Hudson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shirley’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
