Leona I. ‘Viv’ (Messier) Hoffhein

Leona I. “Viv” (Messier) Hoffhein, 83, died peacefully Tuesday morning, May 19, 2020, at Fairview Healthcare in Hudson.

Viv was born in Nashua on November 24, 1936 and was the beloved daughter of the late Eli and Simone (Blouin) Messier.

For many years, she was employed in the billing department at BeeBe Rubber in Nashua until her retirement.

Viv was a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church in Nashua. She was always lending a helping hand to those in need, and always had time to cook meals for family and friends. She took on both roles as a mother and father to her son while he was growing up. She also cherished spending time with her grandson, Trey, playing catch with him constantly and spoiling him throughout his childhood. Viv loved her lunches with her sister, Connie and solving Cryptogram puzzles. She also liked to spend time working or relaxing in her yard. Above all, her most cherished memories were made with her family.

Viv is survived by her son, Mark Hoffhein and his wife Kathleen of Milford; her grandson, Trey Hoffhein of Milford; her sister Constance “Connie” Messier of Nashua; and her sisters-in-law, Denise Messier and Dixie Messier both of Nashua. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Claudette Adams and her brothers, Roger and Raymond Messier.

Relatives and friends are invited to Leona’s Funeral Mass on FRIDAY, October 29th at 9 AM in St. Patrick Church, 29 Spring Street, Nashua. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Nashua.
