David Steenhoven

David Steenhoven, 80 passed away peacefully August 30, 2021 at his home in Pacifica, California, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Iowa and lived in various states in the Midwest before moving to California. He was one of four siblings. His older brother Jon Steenhoven lives in San Jose, California, his older sister Janice Teeboom in Nashua, NH and his younger sister Nancy Reed in Johnson City, Tennessee. Although having lived a wide distance apart, we kept in touch frequently and visited occasionally.

David was someone you would be honored to have as a friend. His family and friendships meant everything to him, and he was totally honest and loyal.

David worked for International Harvester for 19 years. Shortly after joining the company he was promoted to supervisor of the mechanical department.

David was an expert mechanic and owned several classic cars and a classic Harley Davidson motorcycle. David was a proud member of the Avanti Club. His Avanti was considered exceptional.

David was also a passionate animal lover and bird watcher.

David never married and had no children of his own, but lovingly embraced children and grandchildren in California and had one niece and several nephews in New Hampshire, New Jersey and Colorado.
