Jean H. (Leonard) Boucher

Jean H. (Leonard) Boucher, 85, died peacefully on Friday morning, July 30, 2021, at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson. She was the beloved wife of the late George H. Boucher with whom she shared 44 years of marriage until he passed on August 30, 2000.

Jean was born in Nashua on February 25, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Helen (Kelpus) and Norman Leonard. She received her education in the Nashua School System and was a graduate of Nashua High School with the class of 1954.

She was employed by Improved Machinery which later became Ingersoll Rand and the later Beloit; she worked there as the payroll supervisor for 45 years until her retirement in 1999.

Jean was a communicant of St. Patrick Church in Nashua, as well as a member of the IR Impco Retiree Association as past president and treasurer. Over the years, she enjoyed bowling, crafts, painting, yard work, and tending to her floral and vegetable garden. Jean was an avid animal lover and a true philanthropist. She will forever be remembered for her generosity for all her charitable donations.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Nicole Hall and her husband David of Nashua; her great-grandchildren Zachary and Willow; her sister-in-law, Irene St. Germaine of Nashua; her brother-in-law, Maurice Guerrette of Hudson; and her half-brother, David Leonard of Nashua. Jean is also survived by her niece, Jacqueline Chenard and her husband Andrew of Nashua; her nephew Jerry Boucher and his wife Kathy of Hudson; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great- nephews.

In addition to her husband, George, Jean was predeceased by her son Ronald G. Boucher, her siblings, Norman Leonard and his wife Irene, Robert Leonard, and Sandra Guerrette; her half-brother, Denis Leonard; and her sisters-in-law, Esther Boucher, and Cecile Chabot.

Relatives and friends are invited to Jean’s Funeral Mass on FRIDAY, August 6th at 9 AM in St. Patrick Church, 29 Spring Street, Nashua. Kindly meet at church. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Hudson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s name to the Nashua Humane Society, 24 Ferry Road, Nashua, NH 03064.
