Andra Lee (Cartwright) Gawley

Andra Lee Gawley, 80, resident of Nashua, NH, passed away on June 12, 2021 in the presence of family. She now joins her husband, Loren Bruce Gawley, and her daughter, Lorice Leah Bonkosky, aside her parents and her brother, Jerry Cartwright.

She was born on June 5, 1941 in Beaver, UT, to Andrew Cartwright and Ilene (Guymon) Cartwright. Her family later moved to Skagit County, WA, where she met and married her husband, Loren Bruce Gawley, a member of the United States Army, on October 17, 1959.

During her time as a military wife, she enthusiastically traveled the world, seeing and experiencing a variety of people, cultures, and customs, and raised three children.

After her husband’s retirement from the Army in 1981, they settled in the Northeast, where Andra worked as an accountant at Cambridge Tool & Dye until her retirement from active employment.

During her free time, Andra was an avid bowler, playing in leagues and tournaments, and a passionate gardener – her family frequently recalls the times she would visit her son and daughter-in-law and tend to the rose bush growing in their garden!

Andra is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Marylynn and William Ayers Sr. of White City, OR, and their five children; her son and daughter-in-law Richard and Rebecca; her son Loren; her son-in-law Elden Bonkosky; her six grandchildren, Tamara, Christopher, Danielle, Kaitlyn, Kyle, and Bryan; her three great-grandchildren, Austin, Liam, and Matthew; and a large extended family in the Pacific Northwest and throughout the United States.
