Cardin Lee Corbit

Cardin Lee Corbit, 88 of Nashua, NH sadly passed away May 14, 2021 due to complications of Covid‐19.

He was predeceased by his parents Ruth (Britton) and Charles Corbit Sr., his brother Charles Corbit Jr. his sister Claudette Narozny and his granddaughter Crystal Corbit. Cardin is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Shirley Corbit, his sister Barbara Breidenstein, his son Kevin Corbit and his wife Nancy, his son Michael Corbit and his wife Sue, his daughter Teressa Corbit, his son Kurt Corbit and his wife Angela, his 10 grandchildren Shawn, Shannon, Tina, Cardin, Robert, Alex, Jesse, Christopher, Cameron and Blake, as well as 19 great‐grandchildren.

Cardin was raised in Reading Pennsylvania where he attended Mount Penn High School. He was a veteran who served in the United States Army for 11 years where he was awarded numerous medals including a Korean service medal with bronze star for his service during the Korean War.

Cardin was employed at Royal Business Forms for 18 years and then Sunnyside Acura until he retired. He was an active member of Nashua React where he assisted first responders in emergency situations.

During his journey through life, Cardin enjoyed hiking, camping, geology, bird watching, genealogy, and a good cup of coffee with friends. His greatest pride and joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and great‐grandchildren who he absolutely cherished. Umpa as they would call him, was a one‐of‐a kind man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. As a mentor to so many, he was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at 96 Whitten Road, Milford NH on Saturday June 20, 2021 at 1:00PM and is open to the public. In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to be sent to The American Heart Association or your local VFW Veterans of Foreign Wars.
