Albert R. Anctil
Albert R. Anctil, age 85, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2021 surrounded by family and loved ones. He married Alvina Anctil on June 23rd, 1956. They shared 65 years of marriage together and 3 children together.
Born and raised in Nashua, NH on September 3rd, 1935. He attended Parochial school at Saint Francis. Later leaving school to join the workforce. Albert worked at many establishments over the years. Including The Bracket Shoe Shop, Sportwelt Shoe Company, Merryville Casket, and retiring from W.R. Grace Hampshire Chemical. Additionally he was a member of the 32nd Degree Freemasonry.
Throughout his life, he enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, watching movies, swimming at the Milford Quarry, and riding dirt bikes with his friends and children. In the summers he could be found camping and canoeing in New Hampshire. He loved to wake early and watch the sunrise in his canoe with coffee in hand. His favorite moments were listening to the loons as the fog came up off the water.
It was during a camping trip that he found his love for hand carving. He went on to make furniture, home décor, games, figurines, and decorations. He shared his passion with his wife as she completed the projects by painting them. Together they sold the pieces at local flea markets, and many can still be found in the houses of loved ones.
Predeceased by his parents, brother Charles Anctil, and Albert’s son Gerard Anctil. He is survived by his wife Alvina Anctil. Children: Anne Marie Anctil and Odette Askham. Daughter in-law: Elizabeth Anctil. Grandchildren: Jason Anctil (Wife, Emily), Jeremy Anctil, Nicole Askham, Brandon Askham, and Sara Anctil. Great Grandchildren: Jordan Anctil, Sophia Deane, Bria Anctil, Ryleigh Anctil, and Colton Anctil. Amongst cousins and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to Home Health and Hospice of Merrimack in Albert’s name at www.hhhc.org.
