Oscar W. Bourbeau

Oscar W. Bourbeau, 76, a resident of Belmont and former resident of Nashua, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, after a long illness. Oscar was born in Nashua on April 6, 1945, the son of Oscar and Laurette (Gendron) Bourbeau.

He was a graduate of High School, went to serve his country in Vietnam in 1968 and had later taken several college courses. He proudly served with the U. S. Army in Vietnam earning the rank of Specialist 4. After the service he began driving delivery trucks for several area dairies. They include, Desrocher’s Ice Cream, Producers Dairy in MA, Weeks Dairy in Concord and Hadco in Hudson. Most recently he was a driver for Velcro in Manchester until his retirement in 2009 due to his illness.

Oscar had many enjoyments throughout his life, whether it was building and flying radio controlled air planes, camping, woodworking or being in the outdoors, hunting or fishing. But his greatest joy was his family and cheering on the New England Patriots.

He was predeceased by his parents, a granddaughter, Mikayla Bourbeau and a son in law, Tony Ferreira. His family includes his wife of 52 years, Paula (Levesque) Bourbeau. His daughter Michelle Ferreira of Laconia His 4 sons, Bruce Bourbeau and wife Valerie of Manchester, Bryan Bourbeau and wife Josee of Cape Cod, MA, Marc Bourbeau and wife Kathy of Merrimack and Michael Bourbeau and wife Stacia of Lewis, CO and his 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He also leaves his brother, Richard and wife Theresa of Topsail, NC and several nieces and nephews.

According to Oscars wishes there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Parish in Belmont. Burial with military honors in the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations in memory of Oscar, may be offered to the Wounded Warrior Project, 600 River Ave., Suite 400, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

The William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home in Tilton is assisting the family with arrangements.
