John Hinckley

Apr 17, 2021

John was born on February 11, 1952 in Beverly, MA to parents Alfred A. Hinckley Jr and Yvonne Hinckley. Although retired, he was an engineer for many years at Proto-Pac Engineering in Wilmington, MA.

On August 8, 1998, he married Laura Pointer and they had one son together, John M. Hinckley Jr., who followed in his father’s footsteps and now works as an Aerospace Engineer. John’s greatest achievement in life was the lessons he instilled in his son, such as perseverance, determination, work ethic, and an unbreakable moral compass.

John loved spending time with family and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle through the White Mountains, working out at the gym, and walking their German Shepherd, Ahren. He loved westerns and war movies, classic rock, and was an exceptional ping-pong player. John was young at heart and the life of the party. His unfiltered sense of humor always brought a smile to our faces.

John is survived by his wife Laura and son John, as well as step-children Christopher Clement and Tiffany Clement. He is also survived by two brothers, Edward and Robert Hinckley, one sister Deborah Keogh, as well as several nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

At John’s request there will be no funeral services, however he asked that donations be made in this memory to his favorite charity, St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org To share an online message of condolence, please visit www.dumontsullivan.com THE DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOMES IN HUDSON IS IN CHARGE OF ARRANGEMENTS.
