Thomas J. Lones

Thomas J. Lones, 83, of Nashua, passed away peacefully in his sleep Wednesday morning, March 24, 2021, one day after his 83rd birthday. Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Annette J. (Cote) Lones of Nashua, NH and his brother, Clifford Lones.

Born in Nashua on March 23, 1938, he was a son of the late Thomas R. and Ruth (Lavoie) Lones. Tom was predeceased by his two brothers, Carl and Linas; and his sister, Shirley Betts. He will be missed by many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and countless nieces and nephews.

Thomas attended Nashua High School and later was stationed in Lincoln, Nebraska with the U.S. Air Force as an Airman 2nd Class. Tommy “The Tiger” also known as “Happy”, worked for Clyde Garfield Oldsmobile-Cadillac in Nashua for twenty years.

As a crossing guard, in his retirement years, he brightened the days of students, faculty and parents. When not doing that, he loved spending time with family, his fur babies, and gardening. Tom always had a huge heart for animals and children and cared for them both deeply.

Tommy was a huge fan of New England sports, and really loved watching the Red Sox and the Patriots, with a big bowl of vanilla ice cream.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN or the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, 24 Ferry Road, Nashua, NH 03064. A Graveside service will be held at a later date.
