Joanne (Leonardis) LeFort

Joanne (Leonardis) LeFort, 61, died Tuesday, January 26th, 2021 at her home in Nashua, NH surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born on May 12, 1959 in Woburn, MA, to Edmond and Connie Leonardis.

She was most recently employed at Harbor Care in Nashua, NH but had worked many different jobs throughout her life. Joanne was always the life of the party and lit up the room when she walked in. She enjoyed raising schnauzers, camping in Vermont, cooking, going to the beach, fighting with her sisters, but most of all being with her family. She was the wife of Rod LeFort and they were happily married for 36 years. They resided in their home in Nashua, NH where they raised their two sons Rocky and Dan LeFort. She was blessed with 5 grandkids and loved to play lego’s, dress up, dinosaurs, army and teach them about space. She always found a way to make education fun and incorporated music and reading into almost every activity.

She was a mother to all and played a significant role in the lives of many. Joanne was predeceased by her father and mother Edward and Connie Leonardis; grandson Benjamin LeFort; great nephew Declan Gardner. She is survived by her husband Rod; her son and his wife Rocky and Amanda LeFort; son and his wife Dan and Renee LeFort; 4 grandchildren; her sisters and their spouses; many nieces and nephews all of whom she loved beyond measure.

The family will be hosting a celebration of life party in May, 2021. Memorial donations in memory of Joanne may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Nashua- 24 Ferry Rd, Nashua, NH 03064.
