Kenneth Earle Annis

Feb 3, 2021

Kenneth Earle Annis, 96, of Nashua, NH, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 30. 2021.

He was born in Dover, NH to the late Andrew J. Annis and Winifred Bassett on January 23, 1925. He graduated from Dover high school class of 1943.  After graduating from high school Kenneth joined the United States Navy.  He was a member of the United States Navy Seabees. He was stationed In Milne Bay, New Guinea during World War 2. The Seabees were sent there to build a naval base. He returned to Dover, NH in March, 1946.

October 30,1946 Kenneth married Mary Faith King from Waterloo, Quebec. They were married for 67 years. They built their first home with the help of his Grandfather, Grampa Bassett and his step father, William Donahue. They lived there for a number of years and started their family. Several years later they and their 3 children moved to Charlestown, NH. Then after a few years and the birth of their fourth child, they moved to Nashua, NH. Kenneth started work at Sanders Associates in Nashua NH and worked there for many years. He then went to Harris corporation and later retired from Harris Corporation. He was an Electrical Component Assembly Manager and loved his work. His employees loved him and were sad when he retired.

One of Kenneth’s passions, other than his wife and children of course, was to serve others. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was very active in many facets of the church. He was an Elder, served on the Community Connection Group and was very active in the Silver and Gold Group to mention only a few. His passion for helping others was shown by his dedication to the many groups he served such as the Upper Room and The Pine Street Mission. As part of his mission, he picked up meat from Hannaford’s every Saturday, Bread from Panera on Monday night and bread/pastries from Hannaford’s on Monday Morning. This food served many families and it made him very happy. He also went to the Pine Street Mission every Sunday morning to make pancakes for the homeless and at the same time to witness to the men who came to the breakfast. Later the Food Pantry at Trinity was established and Ken again worked tirelessly to help make that a success. Ken was also a mentor to the young men at the church and loved sharing his love for Jesus. His faith was the cornerstone of his life.

A few years ago, Kenneth went to live full time at Bel Air Nursing Home in Goffstown, NH. as a full time resident. Here he met new friends and made new memories. His Great grandchildren lived close by and enjoyed walking down to Bel Air to play games with him. These are the memories they will always remember about their Great Grandfather and at the same time they made him very happy. The Bel Air Staff were wonderful to him and made this move easier for him.

He is survived by; his son, Stephen and daughter-in-law, Anna of Brookline, NH; his daughter, Linda and son-in-law, John Krieger of Milford, NH; and his son, Paul and daughter in law Lynn of New Boston, NH, his daughter in law Cindy Collins of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

He is also survived by four grandchildren, Seth Annis and wife Marion, Katie Richards and husband Jamie, Rachel Morrissette and husband Richard, and his step-granddaughter Melissa Longval and husband Keith. Also, six great-grandchildren: Penelope and Gwen Annis, Tyler and Brenton Richards, and Emeria and Austin Longval.
