Elizabeth M. Hackett

Rye, NH – Elizabeth M. Hackett, 87, of Rye, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 20, 2020
She was born in Lancaster, NH on August 21, 1933 a daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel (Johnson) Herr. She spent her adolescent years in Berlin and raised her family in Hudson before moving to Rye in 1998.
Elizabeth was an active member of the Rye Congregational Church and Garden Club. A selfless person at heart, she volunteered for many organizations some of which were the Rye Library, and Fuller Gardens.
Family was of the upmost importance, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time at Songo Pond in Maine and Rye Beach, NH.
She shared 66 years of marriage with her loving husband Robert M. Hackett of Rye.
In addition to her husband, surviving family members include her children, Kevin Hackett and his wife Karen of Hampton, Sharon Bowe and her husband Tim of Waxhaw, NC and Craig Hackett and his wife Jennifer of Epping; grandchildren, Erika Dodge and her husband Luke, Michael Hackett, Kevin, Adam and Kathryn Bowe, Leah and Alanna Hackett and 2 great grandchildren Hadley and Lowen Dodge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her son, Robert Hackett and siblings, Barbara Grandin and Jay Herr.
The Rye Congregational Church will have a brief tribute for Elizabeth at 12 noon on Sunday, December 27, 2020, which can only be viewed by Zoom with the password 4mAE8R.
