Michael W. Howard

Michael W. Howard, 82, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2020 at Bedford Hills Center in Bedford, NH.

Michael was born April 20, 1938 in Rockaway Beach, New York to Cornelius J. and Bernice (Gilmore) Howard. He is survived by his brother, John Thomas Howard of Nashua, NH, his nieces Carolyn Howard of Nashua, Allison Howard of Tampa, FL and nephew Jonathan Howard of Eugene, OR.

He graduated from Memorial High School, West New York, NJ in 1955, and enlisted in the United States Air Force. Following a year of training, he served as a radio operator with the 15th Communication Squadron and spent three years in Japan before his Honorable Discharge.

Upon his return to the U.S., he worked for Western Electric and several other companies until his retirement in New Hampshire.

Self-described as “the tall guy with a white beard,” Michael was soft-spoken, read widely, especially enjoyed studying history, maps, and religions, and loved to tell jokes.

Funeral arrangements and burial will be private.
