Lillian Patricia “Pat” (Kenny) Higgins
Lillian Patricia “Pat” (Kenny) Higgins, 86, formerly of Nashua and Dunstable, MA, currently of St. Theresa Nursing Center in Manchester, passed away peacefully Monday, September 14, 2020 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease with her loving family at her side.
She was born April 2, 1934 in Medford, MA, daughter of the late John and Catherine (McCarthy) Kenny. Pat’s passing marks the end of the original Kenny family generation of Dunstable, MA. Pat was predeceased by her husband, Bob Higgins, her grandchildren, Nathan and Katie Beaulieu, her five brothers, John Kenny, Billy Kenny, Bobby Kenny, Jimmy Kenny, and Dick Kenny, a daughter in law, Kim (Dugas) Goss and a son in law, Terry Hughes.
Known as “Nana” to her grandchildren and “Patsy” or “Pat” to her family and friends, she was very artistic and enjoyed painting with water colors and writing poetry. She loved having tea parties with her grandchildren and would serve “Grammy Cake” an old Irish recipe raisin spice cake that her mother passed down as a tradition. Nana was always there to help care for her grandchildren in their younger years and loved family traditions. She also loved sweets, ice cream (her favorite) chocolate Frosties and jelly beans to name a few. But Pat mostly enjoyed spending time with her family.
That family includes: her first husband Russell E. Goss, who remained close over the years, always attending family events together, her children and their (spouses) Kevin (Mona) Goss of Rutherfordton NC, Jeff (Patrice) Goss of Merrimack , Sue (Don) Beaulieu of Litchfield, David (Suzanne) Goss of Windham , Patty Hughes of Florala, AL, Tom (Claire) Goss of Pelham her grandchildren Chelsie Beaulieu, Abbie Beaulieu, Tyler (Ann) Hughes, Alex (Joey) Satkowski, Levi Hughes, Ellisse Goss, Danica (Matt) Kansler, Brogan (Jake) Ralph, Avery Goss, Skyler Goss, Nick Goss and Sarah Goss her great-grandchildren Una, Sonja, Eve and Tetra Satkowski, Keegan and Julian Ralph, Landon Hughes. sisters-in-law Barbara Kenny, Eleanor Maciolek, Bernice (Goss) Barnes, Gloria Goss and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, September 19th at 10:00am in ST. Patricks Church, 29 Spring St. in Nashua. All are asked to please meet at church. Burial will take place in ST. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson.
