Roger G. Desmarais

On Sunday, June 7, 2020, Roger G. Desmarais passed away at the age of 86 in New Bern, North Carolina.

Roger was born in Nashua, NH on August 21, 1933 to Lucille (Theriault) Desmarais and Albert Desmarais.

He is predeceased by his wife, Jeanne (Marchand) Desmarais who passed away in October of 2014. He is also predeceased by his daughter, Beth Ann Masse, who passed away earlier this year.

He is survived by one sister, Claire (Desmarais) Congdon who resides in Merrimack, NH. He is also survived by his son, Ronnie Desmarais and wife Carol who resided in Powder Springs, Georgia. His daughter, Cindy (Desmarais) Stevens and her husband Craig who resided in Dallas, Georgia and his son, Christian Desmarais and wife Janice who resided in New Bern, North Carolina. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was a loving father and devoted husband who you could always count on for a hearty laugh and a big giant hug. He was employed at Hampshire Chemical for several years in Nashua and always made friends whereever he went.

In his younger years in Nashua he was an avid softball player and played for Bronze Craft and was on the Industrial League in the ’70’s and they became champions in 1979.

He spent most of his life in Nashua until moving to Smyrna, Georgia in 1980 and eventually to New Bern, NC.
