Barbara J. Young

Barbara J. Young, 84 of Londonderry, passed away on April 6, 2020 surrounded by her loving family, after a long, hard fought battle to cancer.

She was born in Somerville, MA, and was the daughter of the late Harry and Grace (McNamara) Martell. She was also predeceased by her spouse the love of her life, John Younghusband. She was also predeceased by one of her best friends and sister, Rosalie, who passed away on April 6 of , 2008. Barbara was also predeceased by her brother Harry Martell and his wife Louise, a sister in law Joan Martell, a brother in law George Lesnett, a brother Ronnie Martell, and a brother in law Bill Plaag.

Barbara lived at The Nevins in Londonderry where she thoroughly enjoyed the Nevins community. Throughout her life, she loved spending time at the beach, bowling, dancing, traveling, teaching ceramics, selling Real Estate, and most of all, she loved spending time with all of her family and going to many sporting events for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also a member of the Eastern Star since the age of 18.

Barbara’s loving family includes a son, Bob Younghusband and his wife Jen of Hudson, a daughter, Donna Charbonneau and her husband Mark of Windham, four grandchildren, Ryan Charbonneau and his wife Erika of Litchfield, Amy Charbonneau of Litchfield, Jenna Younghusband of Hudson, RJ Younghusband of Hudson as well as four great grandchildren, Logan, Mia, Mila, and Brody. Also, four brothers, Kenny Martell of Bristol, NH, Billy Martell and his wife Polly Mohoney of MA, Fred Martell and his wife Cindy of Goffstown, Allen Martell and his wife Dawn of Tennessee, and sisters, Joan Lesnett of Florida, Dot Barry and her husband Rob of Florida, as well as over 140 nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
