Anne Marisa Speer

Anne Marisa Speer, 41, of Hudson, NH, passed away on March 6, 2020 in South Weymouth, MA, at South Shore Hospital after a long and fierce battle against drug addiction.

Anne was born in Manchester, NH, on August 15, 1978.

She was the loving daughter of Richard and Maureen Speer of Hudson, NH. She was the cherished mother of Mikayla Pockett, Rhiannon Pockett, and Kai Pockett of Hudson, NH, and Jaliah Martinez of Nashua, NH. She is also survived by her dear brothers and their families Brendan Speer and his fiancee Tammy Deegan of Laconia, NH and nephews Patrick Speer of Berlin NH, Patrick Deegan of Laconia, NH and Daniel Hastings of Jaffrey, NH; and Owen Speer and his wife Lydia Barton Speer of Apison, TN and nephews Jonah and Luke Speer of Apison, TN. She was the grandmother of Amelia Dovale and granddaughter of Magdalena Donovan of Glens Falls, NY and Fort Edward, NY. Other family members include many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Richard and Gertrude Speer, Francis Donovan and an uncle, Michael Donovan.

She was educated in Hudson schools and was a 1997 graduate of Alvirne High School. She attended Wheelock College in Boston, MA. She earned an LNA license and was a graduate of Hesser College. She worked in several fields, including nursing, customer service, and hospitality.

She was blessed with a kind and giving heart. She went out of her way to include everyone. She was generous and thoughtful. Anne was fun to be with and had a contagious laugh. She enjoyed Pepsi, Christmas and a nap with a cozy blanket. Her favorite times were with her family, most especially with her children and her granddaughter. She will be greatly missed. Gone too soon.

Memorial services for Anne and burial will be held at a later date. An announcement will be published inviting family and friends to join us in remembering Anne. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her memory to Harbor Homes (www.harborhomes.org) or Keystone Hall (www.keystonehall.org) to support two organizations that were helping Anne in her journey toward recovery.
