Robert S. Desmond Jr.

Robert “Bob” Stephen Desmond Jr. passed away suddenly on February 14, 2020 in Duluth GA., at the age of 61.

Bob’s story will continue on through those who loved him.

He was born June 9,1958 in Alexandria, VA, son of Robert S. Desmond Sr. and the late Mary “Kay” (Sheehan) Desmond, the second of their seven children.

He was raised in Nashua NH, where he made many lasting friendships, and created many memories for all who knew him.

After graduating from Nashua High School class of 1976, Bob proudly served his country as a US Marine for four years.

He established a career in the cable industry, working the last two years as a supervisor at Spectrum in Duluth GA.

While residing in Milford, N.H. he was also a long time employee at Hampshire Hills Athletic Club.

On Sundays he could be found cheering on the Patriots and the Redskins. Either playing on a team, coaching youth baseball and football or watching sports with him you knew Bob was a die hard sports fan.

Those who knew Bob, will remember him as the goofy, loving, caring man he was.

He had many titles in his life: father, son, brother,uncle, friend, and coach. Bob touched the lives of many and will be missed by all.

It gives his family solace knowing that as an organ donor his unexpected passing has enhanced many lives.

Family and friends take comfort in knowing that he is at peace once again in his mother’s arms. He is survived by and will live on in the memories of his father, Robert S. Desmond Sr., his children Molly Desmond and Robert S. Desmond III, his siblings, Elizabeth (James) Canavan, Mary (Michael) Eagle, Edward (Elida) Desmond, Teresa LeBlanc, Helen Desmond, and James (Catherine) Desmond. His uncle Father Edward Sheehan and his aunt Elizabeth Norris. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces,including his Goddaughter Vivian and one great nephew.

A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held on Feb. 29, 2020, at 1:00 pm, at Hampshire Hills Athletic Club, in Milford NH.

Interment will be at the NH State Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen at a later date.
