Isabelle A. Weinstein

Feb 13, 2020

Isabelle Anne Cushman Maddock Weinstein, age 75, passed on February 9, 2020 at her Milford home supported by her loving family and expert care from Home Health and Hospice. She battled cancer for many years and was grateful for the compassionate care of Dr. Rao and staff of Foundation Hematology/Oncology in Nashua, NH.

Isabelle was born February 2, 1945 in Concord, NH to the late Robert and Anne Maddock. As her father was a project engineer, they moved frequently requiring Isabelle to be the new girl in over 10 different schools. While they lived on both coasts, Isabelle’s favorite was Nahant, Massachusetts where she returned many times for visits or vacation.

Her family names reflect her deep interest in genealogy through which she made many connections to relatives far and wide. Her greatest hope was for a stable home and family of her own and so she raised her two daughters, Amanda Faith and Elizabeth Anne, with great love and devotion. Isabelle also cherished her friends with whom she maintained contact despite the distances separating them.

She loved her many pets over the years, most recently her rescue chihuahua Gizmo who was always at her side.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Marc Weinstein, daughters Amanda Maddock and Elizabeth Leonard, son-in-law Garrath Leonard, granddaughter Vivien Rose Leonard, step-sisters Carol Ellis and Marilyn Baldwin, and half-brother Robert Maddock.

Prior to her retirement, she worked in the records department at Dartmouth Hitchcock and as an Activities Coordinator at Crestwood Nursing Home in Milford, NH.

Services are private. Donations in her name can be made to Granite State Dog Recovery or Animal Rescue League of NH.
