Sylvia Ducharme

Sylvia Ducharme, 80, of Hudson, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, following a period of declining health.

She was born September 22, 1939 in Nashua, daughter of the late Walter and Eva (Frenette) Ducharme. Sylvia was also predeceased by her husband, Roland Guerette as well as by a brother, Richard Ducharme and by two sisters, Lena Malouin and Doris Ducharme.

Sylvia was well educated, having received two Masters Degrees; one from New York University followed by then Rivier College. She taught several classes at Harvard University and was the definition of a “free spirit.” She loved spending time with her family and will be missed by all who knew her.

Her loving family includes a sister, Joan Tate of Hudson, two brothers, Walter Ducharme, Jr. of Hudson and Eugene Ducharme of Litchfield as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Following cremation, a funeral mass will take place at 10am on Wednesday, January 22nd at St. John XXIII Parish in St. John the Evangelist Church, 27 Library St. in Hudson. All may meet at church. Burial to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson.
