Edward C. Mikonis

Edward Charles Mikonis, Jr, 70, of Windham, NH passed away on Thursday morning, January 9, 2020 at his home.

Eddie was born on January 17, 1949 in Haverhill, MA to Marie Antoinette (Dow) and Edward Charles Mikonis. He attended local schools and graduated from Haverhill High School in 1968. Eddie went on to earn his associate degree from the Andover Institute of Business. He then began his career at Sanders in Nashua and worked there for 41 years until his retirement.

He married Elizabeth Ann Whynot on September 23, 1972 and the couple made their home in Windham in 1975. Eddie loved being outdoors, especially when he was fishing or hunting. He also enjoyed playing softball and golf. Eddie was a family man who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Mikonis of Windham, NH; his son, Todd C. Mikonis and his wife Krissy of Hampstead, NH; his two grandchildren, Grace and Hunter Mikonis; his brother, Richard Mitchell of Sandown; his brother-in-law Keith Whynot and his wife Linda of Pelham; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Patricia Conte.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 13, 2019 from 4-6pm at the Carrier Family Funeral Home, 38 Range Road, Windham, NH 03087. A funeral service will follow at 6pm at the funeral home. Interment will take place on Tuesday morning, at 10am at the Cemetery on the Plain in Windham.
