On Sunday, August 25th, 2019, Sandra Glenn St. Peter Carey, passed away at the age of 57, surrounded by family and loved ones, following a brief fight with cancer.

Sandy was born on February 20th, 1962, in Nashua, NH to Geralda and Donald St. Peter; on the same day John Glenn completed his historic orbit of Earth. Sandy was known for her warm smile and open heart. She truly loved her job and being able to interact with the people of Belfast and the Midcoast daily. She held the friendships and connections made while at work very close to her heart.

Sandy loved spending her free time outdoors; she learned to ski later in life, and loved Sugarloaf and skiing with her family. During the summer months, Ducktrap Beach in Lincolnville was her favorite spot to read a book, relax, and collect sea glass. She had passion for the earth, and recycling’s importance in combating climate change.

Above all Sandy will be remembered as a loving mother, sister, and friend, who always supported and put her family first.

Sandy is survived by her son, Brendan, her mother Geralda, her sisters Patti and Pamela, her brother Michael, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
