Gregg Norman Donnelly

Aug 10, 2019

Gregg Norman Donnelly, 69 years old, resident of Lehigh Acres, Florida passed away suddenly Wednesday evening, July 24th, 2019 with his loving wife, Gail, by his side.

A native of Nashua, NH, and beloved son of Bert and Agnes (Olson) Donnelly, Gregg graduated Nashua High School in 1967 and earned a degree from the New England Conservatory of Art in Boston. A true jack-of-all-trades, he was an artist and master craftsman who excelled at painting, building, woodworking, masonry, and architectural design. Fascinated by computers, he went on to adapt these talents to the digital world of design and 3D modeling.

Never afraid of adventure, Gregg had lived as far away as Colorado and both up and down the coast, from Northern Maine to South Florida. Forever curious about new ideas, he delighted in sharing his knowledge and teaching friends and family what he knew. A meticulous planner, he could figure out how to make anything given enough coffee and a sketchpad.

As a gifted musician, Gregg shared his passion for music through his exquisite guitar playing and unique singing voice. On karaoke nights, he made sure that everyone had a personalized CD of their favorite songs so they could join in. While his accomplishments were many, his greatest pride was always his children and family who remember him as the kindest, gentlest, most talented soul you could ever meet.

Gregg will be lovingly remembered by his wife Gail (Solito) Donnelly. He was a devoted father to Shara (Donnelly) Zakos, Jason, Shaun, and Morgan, and a proud grandfather to Zachary, Madison and Jack. He will be greatly missed by his siblings Marjorie, Carolyn McCormack, Paul, Cynthia Lambert and Steve. He also leaves behind 9 nieces, 9 nephews, and former wife Jane Perry. Gregg was predeceased by his father, mother, brother Alan, and former wife Daneen Wheeler.

No formal funeral or burial services will be held. Instead, the family will be hosting a gathering to celebrate the life of Gregg on Saturday, August 24th at 1pm in Newmarket, NH. For further information, please e-mail: celebrationforgregg@gmail.com.
