David E. Swisher

David E. Swisher, age 67, of Nashua, NH and Venice, FL passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at St Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua. David was born in Ypsilanti, MI on June 13, 1951 to Earl and Betty (Seleska) Swisher.
David is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Eileen (Wallace) Swisher; his three children, Christine Swisher of Nashua, NH, Laura Swisher of Peterborough, NH and Michael Swisher of Burke, VA; a brother, Gregory Swisher of Ypsilanti, MI; a sister, Brenda Santoro of Belleville, MI; a sister-in -law, Patricia Wallace of Manomet, MA; a brother-in -law and his wife, William and Elaine Wallace of Middleboro, MA; two aunts and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
David had lived in Nashua for the past thirty-two years. Prior to that, he had lived in Minnesota and Michigan. He attended Michigan State University and graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Information Systems. He had worked at Honeywell in Minneapolis; Honeywell Bull in Billerica, and most recently had worked in Information Systems at ChartOne and Ciox of Green Bay, WI and Atlanta, GA from where he retired.
David enjoyed traveling to Europe and throughout the US; watching the Red Sox, Patriots, and Bruins; fishing and the beaches of Florida and New Hampshire. He was also a fan of the Grateful Dead bands and was a faithful concertgoer both locally and across the country.
Special thanks to the staff of the Cancer Center and the ICU department of St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Radiation Center of Greater Nashua for their compassionate care. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is handling the arrangements. A celebration of his life will be held this summer.
