Ellen E. Prescott
Ellen E. Prescott peacefully passed on to her Lord and Savior on December 19th in McKinney, Texas. She was 70 years old and survived by her husband of 51 years, John M. Prescott of Anna, Texas, her sons John Stephen of McKinney and Marc Lee of Amherst, NH, her daughter Yajaira of Port St. Lucie, FL, and brothers Gerry White and Lester White. She is predeceased by her sister Cindy, brother Daun, and her son Robert Andrew Prescott. Ellen leaves ten grandchildren in addition to numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ellen was born in Brockton, Mass. She attended schools in East Bridgewater and Whitman until her graduation from Whitman-Hansen High School in 1966.
After marriage in 1967, Ellen raised her family in Lowell, Mass and Hudson, NH, where the family resided for 36 years. She was employed at Middlesex Community College, Lockheed-Martin in Nashua, and WHOB radio station in Nashua, NH for 13 years until her retirement in 2000.
Ellen and Jack moved to Orlando, Florida where she became well known in the community as an expert Chocolatier with the founding of her business, “Ellen’s Sweets.” As an instructor in chocolate design, she led classes in her home where she taught many aspiring people in the art of chocolate making until 2017.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Sweet Ellen’s amazing life as a wife, mother, sister, and friend at Azalea Park United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 2nd from 3-6 pm. There will be a brief service followed by food and fellowship to recount many stories and memories from Ellen’s life. All of those who knew and loved Ellen are invited to attend.
