Constance Y. (Lavoie) Dufresne

Constance Y. “Connie” (Lavoie) Dufresne, age 75, died at her home surrounded by her three children on December 9, 2018 after a period of declining health. She was the widow of Rene W. Dufresne who died in 1996.

She was born in Nashua, NH on August 5, 1943, daughter of the late Wilfrid Lavoie and Marie Rose (Lavoie) Lavoie.

Connie was a communicant of the former Ste. Jeanne d’Arc Church, and more recently, St. Rita’s Church in Lowell before she became too weak to attend services regularly.

She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun and Plainridge Park with “the girls”. She was content to be at home with her heating blanket, watching The Game Show Network and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by and is devoted mother of Dan Dufresne of Lowell, Nicole Dufresne and her wife Shelli of Reading, and Monique Dufresne of Dracut; dear sister of Elaine Lavoie of Nashua; sister-in-law of Ida, Rosalie and Elaine T. Lavoie and Barbara Dufresne; proud grandmother of Ross and Landan Dufresne. She also leaves behind her very dear friend, Ann Dunham. Also many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was sister of the late Simone Clark, Jeanine Gagnon, Lucille, Doris and Rachel Lavoie, Normand, Lionel, Andre, Robert and, recently, Albert Lavoie.

ARRANGEMENTS – Family and friends are invited to celebrate Connie’s life on Wednesday Dec. 12, 2018 from 4 to 7pm at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, MA 01854. Funeral Thursday morning with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Rita Church, 158 Mammoth Rd., Lowell, MA 01854. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford.
