Irene Hideko Nogueira

Irene Hideko Nogueira, 86, of Nashua, NH, died Saturday, November 24, 2018, at Massachusetts General Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born November 22, 1932, in Yokohama, Japan, daughter of the late Morinosuke and Kiyo Saito Yamagishi. She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.

Irene was the loving wife of Augustus “Gus” Nogueira of Nashua, with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.

She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who found the greatest joy in simply being around her family. She lived for them. Irene enjoyed cooking, vacationing with her family, walking along the beach, and visits to Japan. Her love and devotion will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Besides her loving husband, Gus, her family includes thee children, Roseanne Nogueira and her husband Gary Shanahan of Londonderry, NH; Gus Nogueira, Jr. and his wife Leslie of Portsmouth, RI; Lisa Nogueira – Fei and her husband Ciro Fei of Pepperell, MA; as well six grandchildren, Michael Fei of Groton, MA, Andrea and David Fei of Pepperell, MA, Ryan Nogueira of Middletown, RI, Warren and Jocelyn Nogueira of Portsmouth, RI.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 2nd from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. noon, with a Service of Remembrance beginning at noon, in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST., IN HUDSON, NH. Burial will take place privately.
