Robert James ‘Bob’ Wolf

Nov 27, 2018

Robert James “Bob” Wolf, 71, died on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at his home in Nashua. He was born on May 23, 1947 in Buffalo, NY, son of the late Robert E. and Margaret I. (Steele) Wolf.

He was the husband of Jean L. (Giberson) Wolf, whom he married on September 4, 1971 in Bingham, ME.

Bob was a graduate of Amherst High School in Buffalo, NY and earned a bachelor degree from Northeastern University. He worked his entire career as an electrical engineer for Digital Equipment Corp, then Compaq, finally retiring from HP. He also worked briefly for Astec and Lowes after retirement.

Bob had many hobbies throughout his life. He was in the Parachute Club in college and logged over 50 jumps. He was a certified SCUBA diver, RC car and plane (more recently drone) enthusiast, bowled for a while, brewed his own beer in the basement, and could always be found tinkering with or improving on some electronic device. He enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing in Maine, was proud to have obtained his pilot license and made flights around the country, and for many years made friends all over the world through his HAM Radio, call N1ABA.

Along with his loving wife, Jean, he is survived by his son, Jonathan R. Wolf of Hudson; daughter, Natalie J. Wolf of Amherst; brother, David Wolf and wife Marcie of Corvallis, OR; sister, Christine Wolf and life partner Dale Stanley of Lancaster, NY; two brothers-in-law, Gregory A.
