Richard F. Blais

Oct 14, 2018

Richard Frederick Blais, 79, passed through the Vail, September 5, 2018 in Tucson, AZ. Richard was born in Nashua, NH on January 29, 1939. He was known for his business, Nashua Screen Printing, which he started at his home on Pine Hill Road in the late 60s, moving it to a location on Progress Ave., where he sold the business to a company in Hudson, NH. In 1984 he and his wife Debra A Blais took back the name and started over at the Clock Tower on Factory St., relocating to the Picker Building. Selling the company once again in 1993, due to a move to Tucson, AZ. Richard was known for the personalized campaign signs for politicians. That was very interesting, especially when two opposing candidates showed up at the same time. Still today, a decal is in his portfolio, the badge being used by the Nashua Police Department on their vehicles.

Richard was loving, compassionate and kind, with the occasional prankster delights, which would catch many off guard. He always made us, his family, available to everyone that was in need. It didn’t matter where we were or what time it was.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Frederick A. and Denise A. Blais; two brothers Michael G. and Paul A. Blais; and one son Richard M. Blais, all of Nashua, NH.

Survived by Debra A. and their son John R. Blais of Tucson, AZ. A stepsister, Joan Finegan of Arlington, MA; previous wife Carol J. Blais; and their daughter Joy A. Kilian and husband Scott C. of Amarillo, TX; son Michael A. Blais and Tish Dudley of Manchester, NH; daughter Deborah D. Blais of Nashua, NH. Two brothers, Frederick D. Blais and his wife Joan of Nashua, NH and Leo E. Blais and his wife Susan of Nutrioso, Az. Six grandchildren Sean Kilian and his wife Colleen of Monticello, IL; Andrea Lucero and her husband Noah of Lubbock, TX; Miranda, Felicia, Jessica and Jennifer of New Hampshire. Four great grandchildren, William Kilian, Arianna and Camber Lucero, and Avery Gagnon. In addition, his long-time, high school friend Dennis Murray and his wife Louise of Nashua, NH.
