Laura Lane

Jul 31, 2018

Laura Ellen Lane’s journey through this life ended on July 23,2018, in Nashua NH. Laura was born to Philip S. and Alice L (Hopper) Lane on January 19,1962, in Newburgh, Maine.

She grew up in Newburgh where she gained a love of learning from her maternal grandmother, Mabel T Hopper. Laura was a hard worker her entire life, and often viewed what might be a challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow. While working as a waitress at a local pancake house, Laura supported herself and her son and earned a Masters Degree in accounting from Rivier University in Nashua NH. After graduation, Laura was employed by Fidelity Investments and then TJX as a systems analyst. As with any other challenge in her life, Laura dove into her career with insight and enthusiasm and excelled in her field.

She was happy, vivacious and loving and was quick to offer a helping hand, or words of encouragement to anyone she met along her path. Her son, Seamus, was her shining star and a constant source of joy in her life.

Laura will be remembered and missed by many, including her son, Seamus Peebles of Dorchester, MA. siblings Carol (Lane) Mazerolle of Hartford, CT, Kenneth Lane and his wife, Alice Jean of Newburgh, ME, Doreen Rogers and her husband, Robert, of Bangor, ME, numerous and beloved nieces and nephews, and very special friends, Arlene Grant, of Nashua, NH, and Frank & Shelly Nimblett of New Ipswich, NH. She was predeceased by her parents, and her brother, Barry Joseph Lane.
