Susan L. (Raby) Morin

Susan L (Raby) Morin of Nashua passed away on Tuesday, May 8th surrounded by family members. She was born October 27, 1947, daughter of the late Normand and Pauline (Hebert) Raby. She is a 1965 graduate of Nashua High School, then attended Rivier College and graduated from the St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in 1981. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital and various private duty agencies until retiring in 1996 due to a disability.

Susan was an avid animal rights activist and “green” believer and spent much of her life working for their causes. As a member of the Wiccan Faith, her beliefs encompassed nature and things in it. She was an avid Red Sox fan and was thrilled when they won the 2004 World Series on her birthday and the 2007 Series the day after her birthday.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Murphy of Hudson and Stephanie Harp and husband, John of Merrimack; four granddaughters, Corrie Lynn Cook and husband, Keith of Amherst, Taylor Marie Pelletier of Hudson, Madison Rose Murphy and Olivia Paige Murphy of Merrimack; five great-grandhildren Alex, Benjamin, Michael, Ellie and Haley Cook; two sisters and two brothers; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She also leaves close friends Laurie Chadbourne of Milford, Svetlana Schewchenko of Nashua, Lorrain Deveaux of Manchester, as well as her life-long friend and soul mate, Tom McNeil of Goffstown.

Per Susan’s request, there are no calling hours or funeral services. There will be a private celebration of her life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Caring Hands Animal Hospital, 323 So Willow St, Manchester NH 03013 (please type “Rapunzel Fund” in the memo section of your check.) Donations could also be sent in Susan’s name to any other Animal Rescue facility as well.
