Rita L. Toussaint

Rita L. Toussaint, 92, widow of former Nashua firefighter Richard L. Toussaint, died on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Courville Nursing Home in Manchester where she resided amongst her many new friends, the residents and phenomenal staff at

Courville.

She was the youngest of the seven children of Lydia and Louis Gagnon of Hudson, NH. Her daughter Diane died in 2006.

Rita attended school in Hudson, NH and settled in Nashua to raise her children. She loved to be surrounded by family and friends. She loved to play the piano, to ice skate in her younger years and to dance with George in her later years. She wrote thoughtful, touching poetry and never stopped smiling. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Cindy Toussaint of Merrimack, NH; her grandson and his wife, Scott and Caroline Toussaint of Bedford, NH, her granddaughter and her husband, Amy and Paul Quinney of New Boston, NH. She loved them all and adored her great grandchildren, Madeline, Russell, Aaron and Brendan. She was predeceased by George Miller, her loving partner late in life and stylish partner on the ballroom dance floor, having been very involved in ballroom dancing in the Greater Nashua area.
