“Ellie” Kelliher, 88, of Nashua, died peacefully on April 2, 2018 at Langdon Place of Nashua. She was born in Manchester on April 19, 1929 the daughter of Daniel and Mary (Reilly) Dwyer. She was graduate of St. Joseph High School Class of 1946 and the Carney Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1949.

Eleanor M. “Ellie” Kelliher, 88, of Nashua, died peacefully on April 2, 2018 at Langdon Place of Nashua. She was born in Manchester on April 19, 1929 the daughter of Daniel and Mary (Reilly) Dwyer. She was graduate of St. Joseph High School Class of 1946 and the Carney Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1949.

She was employed at the Sacred Heart Hospital, the Manchester Anesthesia Professional Association and the Catholic Medical Center. Ellie was a true professional who loved using her training to help others not only at work but also as a volunteer at St. Pius X Church and at the Elliot Hospital. She was gifted in needlework and loved spending time with family and friends. She will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend and will be deeply missed by all.

She was predeceased by the love of her life, her husband of 47 years William D. Kelliher, in 2002 and her son Michael Kelliher in 2014.

Members of her family include her two daughters, Mary Roeser and Kathleen Meehan and her husband Jack all of Nashua and her ten grandchildren Laura Kelliher, Jeremy Kelliher, Sean Roeser, Tyler Roeser, Katelyn Roeser, Christina Meehan, Jake Meehan, Bridget Meehan, Lizzy Meehan and AJ Meehan. The family would like to send a special thanks to the nurses and staff at Langdon Place of Nashua and the Home Health and Hospice Care and especially to Pat Slide her loving hospice volunteer.

There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday April 5 at 10 am in St. Elizabeth Seton Church 190 Meetinghouse Rd. in Bedford. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations in Ellie’s name be made to the Monastery of the Precious Blood 700 Bridge St. Manchester, NH 03104 or to the Home Health and Hospice Care 7 Executive Park Dr. Merrimack, NH 03054. The McHugh Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family with her care.
