Claudette T. Calvetti

Claudette T. (Lesage) Calvetti, 86, of Nashua, widow of Joseph J. Calvetti, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, March 31, 2018 at the Courville at Nashua.

A lifelong resident of Nashua, she was born on April 29, 1931, the youngest daughter of the late Romeo and Irene (Vallee) Lesage. Claudette attended the former St. Francis Xavier Parochial School and graduated from Nashua High School Class of 1949.

Claudette met her husband-to-be at Nashua Corporation and spent 55 wonderful years with Joe while raising three children. Deborah Calvetti of Nashua, Sandra Lones and her husband Mark of Milford and James Calvetti of Townsend, MA; two granddaughters, Amanda and Meghan Lones of Milford; a sister, Lucille Dobrowolski of Florida; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Claudette was predeceased by her husband Joe, who passed away May 15, 2017; and her eldest sister, Gloria Plourde.

She loved music, reading, volunteer work and spending time with family and friends, whom she managed to always put first. Claudette will always be remembered for her quiet smile and calming demeanor. Her last few years were spent at the Courville at Nashua where dedicated nurses and aides treated her like one of their own, a kindness that was truly appreciated.

Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua, on Thursday evening, April 5th from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Christopher Church, 62 Manchester Street, Nashua, Friday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend and will gather at the church.
