Betty Lou (Terry) Lachance

Betty Lou (Terry) Lachance, 91, of Hudson, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in Hudson, following a brief illness.

She was born September 2, 1926 in Lawrence County, Alabama, daughter of the late Johnnie and Julia Terry. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Leopold Lachance, in 2004. She was also predeceased by four brothers; Ritus, Tenus, Dempsey, and Lucien and three sisters; Mary, Omi, and Pauline.

In her earlier years, Betty enjoyed knitting and sewing and always took great pride in her yard. She even snow blowed her driveway and mowed her lawn into her late seventies. Betty loved nothing more than lending a helping hand to a neighbor or friend.

Her loving family includes a daughter, Joan Barnes of Hudson, a son, David Lachance and his wife Lucille of Milwaukee, WI, three grandchildren, Pepin Lachance, Eric Lachance, and Simon Lachance as well as a great granddaughter, Layne Lachance, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, April 3rd from 4pm – 7pm in the DUMONT-SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME, 50 FERRY ST., IN HUDSON. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, April 4th at 10am in the funeral home, with guests being asked to arrive at 9:30am. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson.
